It is reported that the Italian government is exploring the possibility of taking over two discontinued Italian classic car brands, Innocenti and Autobianchi, under the Stellantis Group through legal means, and is considering transferring their use rights to Chinese automobile companies that intend to invest and build factories in Italy. At present, although the two brands still belong to the Stellantis Group, the Italian Minister of Industry has registered new trademarks for them. In February this year, there were reports that Italy was in talks with three Chinese manufacturers, and in March, there were reports that negotiations were underway with Chery Automobile on building a factory. Italian Minister of Economic Development Adolfo Urso said that Italy's goal of producing one million vehicles annually could not be achieved relying solely on the Stellantis Group.
