Ideal Auto's end-to-end + VLM technology architecture is expected to be launched by the end of this year or early next year

Lang Xianpeng, vice president of intelligent driving at Ideal Auto, said that the end-to-end + VLM technology architecture that the company is developing has completed prototype verification and real-car deployment, and the actual performance has exceeded expectations. CEO Li Xiang revealed that the technology architecture may be launched as early as the end of this year and no later than the beginning of next year. Ideal Auto applies VLM (visual language model) technology to the field of autonomous driving to improve the practicality and reliability of end-to-end technology. Through cooperation with NVIDIA, Ideal has successfully reduced the inference performance of the VLM model from 4 seconds to 0.3 seconds, providing strong support for the popularization of end-to-end technology.
