Shanghai Silicon Industry plans to invest in the construction of a 300mm silicon wafer capacity upgrade project for integrated circuits

Shanghai Silicon Industry announced that it plans to invest in a project to upgrade the production capacity of 300mm silicon wafers for integrated circuits, with an estimated total investment of approximately RMB 13.2 billion. The project is divided into two parts, the Taiyuan project and the Shanghai project. Shanghai Silicon Industry will jointly invest through its wholly-owned subsidiary Shanghai Xinsheng or its subsidiaries with the National Big Fund Phase II, Taiyuan Fenshui Capital Management Co., Ltd. or its subsidiaries to establish a holding subsidiary, Taiyuan Jinke Silicon Materials Technology Co., Ltd., to implement the Taiyuan project to upgrade the production capacity of 300mm silicon wafers for integrated circuits. On July 15, Taiyuan Jinke Silicon Materials Technology Co., Ltd. was officially established with a registered capital of RMB 5.5 billion. The company is jointly held by three major shareholders, including National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund II Co., Ltd., Taiyuan Jinke Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. and Taiyuan Fenshui Capital Management Co., Ltd.
