Sungrow and Saudi Arabia's ALGIHAZ have successfully signed the world's largest energy storage project with a total capacity of 7.8GWh. The project includes three sites located in Najran, Madaya and Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia. It is expected to start delivery in 2024 and achieve full capacity grid operation in 2025. This will help improve the stability and reliability of Saudi Arabia's power grid and support Saudi Arabia in achieving its "Vision 2030". Sungrow will provide about 1,500 sets of PowerTitan2.0 liquid-cooled energy storage systems for the project, equipped with nearly 7.8 million cells. Sungrow's PowerTitan2.0 energy storage system has been widely used in many global grid-connected projects such as Guangxi Weizhou, Thailand Super, and Dalia in the Middle East. In May this year, Sungrow signed a 116.5MW/230MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project supply agreement with Nofar Energy, marking the first use of PowerTitan2.0 in Germany.
