Melexis opens new wafer testing facility in Malaysia

Melexis, a microelectronics solutions provider, has invested approximately 70 million euros to open a new wafer testing plant in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. This is Melexis' largest wafer testing plant, covering an area of ​​4,500 square meters, a total of four floors, and will be equipped with 90 semiconductor integrated circuit design units. The new plant focuses on energy efficiency and environmental protection, and is equipped with solar panels. Melexis expects the demand for semiconductors to double in the next decade, and the new plant is designed to meet this growing market demand and enhance the company's influence in the Asia-Pacific region.
