A review of Volkswagen Anhui's development history

Volkswagen Anhui was established in 2017. It is Volkswagen's third complete vehicle joint venture in China. It was formerly known as JAC Volkswagen. In 2020, Volkswagen China acquired 50% of JAC Holdings' shares and increased JAC Volkswagen's equity to 75%, gaining control of the joint venture. At the end of 2023, Volkswagen (Anhui) Co., Ltd. officially began production of the pure electric model Cupra Tavascan for export to the European market. Volkswagen established the Intelligent Connected-Electric Vehicle Center in Hefei, building a complete value chain covering automotive R&D, production, sales and services.
