Chinese regulators encourage development of advanced autonomous driving technology

In June 2024, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced that it had approved nine automakers, including BYD, to test Level 3 autonomous driving technology on public roads. Analysts predict that China will dominate the Level 3 autonomous driving car market in the next few years.
