Driven by strong market demand, China's silicon carbide substrate production capacity is expanding rapidly. The latest statistics reveal a significant growth trend: as of the end of June 2024, China's production capacity in this area has reached approximately 3.48 million pieces (equivalent to 6 inches), and this figure is expected to increase to 4 million pieces by the end of the year. In terms of geographical distribution, the East China region clearly occupies a dominant position. The region's silicon carbide substrate production capacity accounts for nearly 40% of the country's total production capacity. Specifically, Shandong Province, Anhui Province and Shanghai are the main capacity contributors in this region.
