Fudi Power was established in December 2019. It was formed by the merger of BYD's 14th Division, which was responsible for the research and development and production of the three core components of motors, electronic controls, and power supplies, and BYD's 17th Division, which was responsible for the research and development and production of engines, transmissions, reducers, and axles. It currently has production bases located in seven industrial parks, including Shenzhen Pingshan, Shenzhen Kengzi, Huizhou Daya Bay, Xi'an High-tech Zone, Changsha Yuhua District, Taiyuan, and Hefei. The main businesses of the two divisions are in the field of automotive power. As of now, the cumulative installation of new energy powertrains has exceeded 1 million vehicles, and the cumulative installation of traditional powertrains has exceeded 5 million vehicles. The company's business covers six major areas: "passenger car power components, commercial vehicle power components, rail power components, charging equipment matching, high-voltage wiring harnesses and parts matching processing." It has core technologies such as pure electric e-platform and hybrid DM platform, and provides products such as motors, electronic controls, power supplies, engines, transmissions, reducers, axles, etc. As of March 2023, there are 4,531 R&D personnel and 2,200 patent applications, meeting the annual production of 5 million vehicles. The cumulative sales of motors/electronic controls are 6,017,800+ (as of the first quarter of 2023), with a domestic market share of more than 20%; the cumulative sales of hybrid powertrains are 2,009,800+ (as of the first quarter of 2023), with a domestic PHEV market share of more than 70%. The cumulative sales of axle powertrains are 100,000+ (as of the first quarter of 2023), and the domestic market share of wheel-side electric drive axles is more than 90%.
