Wolfspeed, Inc. (NYSE: WOLF) is the world's largest SiC substrate manufacturer, formerly the Wolfspeed division of Cree. Founded in 1987, the company has more than 30 years of experience in silicon carbide production. It launched the world's first commercial SiC wafer in 1991, the first 600V commercial SiC JBS Schottky diode in 2002, and the world's first SiC MOSFET in 2011. In 2019 and 2021, the lighting business and LED business were sold respectively, and in October 2021, the company name was changed from Cree to Wolfspeed, and it has since focused on the layout of the third-generation compound semiconductor field.
