Stellantis develops electric vehicle exhaust system to prevent spontaneous combustion caused by battery failure

Stellantis, one of the world's largest automakers, recently announced a new patent involving an exhaust system designed specifically for electric vehicles. The main function of the system is to discharge dangerous gases out of the battery pack through the exhaust system when there are battery failures, such as short circuits, mechanical damage, external fire sources, overcharging, etc., to prevent spontaneous combustion and thus protect the safety of the vehicle and passengers.
