According to Dutch media NL Times, Dutch semiconductor company NXP announced that they may lay off 1,800 employees worldwide due to increasing market pressure. A spokesperson for NXP said that since it takes months to produce chips, it is difficult to adjust production every day. The decision to lay off employees is related to broader market conditions, and global layoffs are expected to be no more than 5% of total employees.
