Intel cut 23,000 jobs in the past two years

Intel has cut 23,000 jobs since the end of 2022, a figure that equates to 17% of its previous total. Nearly 16,000 layoffs last year left the company with a total of 108,900 employees by the end of 2024. That roughly puts Intel back to where it was in 2018, when annual sales were about $18 billion higher.
