Infineon's global revenue in fiscal 2023 hit a record high of 16.3 billion euros. At present, Infineon has 58,600 employees, 69 R&D sites, and 17 manufacturing bases worldwide. In fiscal 2023, the four major business units of automotive electronics (ATV), zero-carbon industrial power (GIP), power and sensor systems (PSS), and secure connected systems (CSS) accounted for 51%, 13%, 23%, and 13% of revenue respectively. Infineon's deployment in third-generation semiconductor materials also includes gallium nitride. In October 2023, it officially announced the successful acquisition of Gansystems. At present, Infineon has 450 gallium nitride technology experts and more than 350 gallium nitride technology patent experts. It is estimated that the potential market opportunities for Infineon's gallium nitride power devices in key application areas exceed 3 billion euros.
