The total investment of Qingtao Energy Chengdu project is 10 billion yuan, and a 15GWh solid-state battery energy storage industrial base will be built in two phases. Among them, the first phase of the project completed the construction of the production line and put it into production in May last year. This is also the first semi-solid-state battery production line in Chengdu. Strive to start the second phase of the project in October this year. At present, Qingtao Energy Company has five major production bases in Inner Mongolia, Chengdu, Jiangxi, Kunshan, Jiangsu and Taizhou, Zhejiang. Among them, the Kunshan base is expected to be put into production this year, and Taizhou is planned to be put into production next year. Qingtao Energy has established a cooperative relationship with SAIC Group and has invested many times through funds to become the largest investor of Qingtao Energy. In terms of solid-state battery mass production planning, Qingtao Energy adopts a phased strategy. The first generation of products combines oxides and polymers, and the second generation integrates multiple material technologies. The company plans to develop the second generation of solid-state batteries in 2025 and mass produce the third generation in 2027, with a target energy density of more than 500Wh/kg.
