Honda, Nissan merger talks stalled

Honda's plan to acquire Nissan's shares and turn it into a wholly-owned subsidiary was strongly opposed by Nissan, and the negotiations between the two sides reached a deadlock. It is reported that Honda's market value is almost five times that of Nissan, and there is a clear gap in size between the two companies. Nissan is currently facing a crisis, and if it cannot find a partner within the next 24 months, it may face the risk of a broken capital chain.
