NXP Semiconductors of the Netherlands may lay off 1,800 employees worldwide

Dutch semiconductor company NXP said it may cut 1,800 jobs worldwide as market pressure intensifies as EU ministers discuss trade relations with the United States. The company has major factories in Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Delft and said it could not prepare for potential trade restrictions in the short term.
