Car companies use big language models to build a new generation of intelligent personal assistants

BMW Group has chosen to build a new generation of BMW intelligent personal assistant based on Amazon Alexa's large language model, providing generative artificial intelligence technology. From September 6, 2024, Volkswagen will integrate OpenAI's ChatGPT AI chatbot service into many of its cars, becoming the first mass-produced car brand in the industry to come standard with ChatGPT function. Currently, nearly 10 Chinese car companies including Dongfeng Nissan, Hongqi, Great Wall, and Geely have joined Baidu's Wenxin Yiyan project.
