China's public charging piles are very unevenly distributed, mainly concentrated in the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta regions. Guangdong is the province with the most public charging piles in China (over 560,000), more than four times the number of Hubei (140,000), which ranks fifth. This uneven distribution has led to a severe shortage of charging piles in some regions, while others have an oversupply.
