GM suspends production of self-driving Origin cars

202
General Motors recently decided to suspend production of its Cruise Origin self-driving car indefinitely. The company said it would focus on the Chevrolet Bolt EV model that is already in use, and the next-generation Bolt model will go into production in 2025. The move was due to regulatory uncertainty caused by the design of the Cruise Origin, and after a traffic accident, the California Department of Motor Vehicles suspended its deployment and use in California.
