Mexico to send troops to strengthen border control

"We had a cordial conversation with President Trump, with full respect for our relationship and sovereignty," Sheinbaum said in a post on X platform explaining the series of agreements. "Mexico will immediately send 10,000 National Guard troops to strengthen northern border control to prevent the trafficking of drugs, especially fentanyl, from Mexico to the United States," Sheinbaum said.
