American Axle and Dowleys reach merger agreement

American Axle and Dowleys have reached a merger agreement that expects American Axle shareholders to own 51% of the combined entity, while Dowleys shareholders will own approximately 49%. The combined company will be headquartered in Detroit and led by American Axle CEO David Dauch.
