Audi employees face pay cuts

Audi is reportedly in talks with unions, and 55,000 Audi employees across Germany are preparing for a significant pay cut. Last November, Audi agreed to a two-stage pay increase after collective bargaining in the metal and electrical industries. Wages will increase by 2.0% from April 1 and by another 3.1% from April 2026. But Audi management is currently pushing for a postponement of the pay increase date. In addition, night shift and overtime bonuses will also be cancelled, and "Audi profit sharing" (AEB) will also be cut.
