Suzhou-based Innoscience is sprinting for an IPO and has submitted an application for listing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The company was founded by Dr. Luo Weiwei in 2015, when she worked at NASA for 15 years. After seeing the rise of the third-generation semiconductor industry in China, she decided to return to China to start a business. The third-generation semiconductor is her entrepreneurial keyword, and one of its core materials is gallium nitride. The advantages of gallium nitride are high frequency, high voltage and high efficiency, and it is widely used in new energy vehicles, photovoltaics, wind power and 5G. For example, at higher voltages, electrical energy can be transmitted with smaller currents, thereby improving energy conversion efficiency. In new energy vehicles, gallium nitride semiconductors are everywhere, such as on-board chargers, motor drives and control systems.
