STMicroelectronics' fourth-quarter 2024 sales revenue is in line with expectations, but sales are expected to fall in the first quarter of 2025

European chip company STMicroelectronics reported sales revenues for the fourth quarter of 2024 that were exactly in line with expectations, reaching $3.32 billion. However, the company said that sales for the first quarter of 2025 would fall by about 27% quarter-on-quarter to about $2.5 billion. The forecast sent ST shares lower, with its market value falling by about 9% after the financial results were released.
