Nissan faces inventory pressure in China, EV sales slump

According to data from the China Automobile Dealers Association, Dongfeng Nissan has the highest inventory depth, with 2.53 months of sales. Nissan's sales in the Chinese market were 167,000 vehicles, up 3.3% year-on-year, but its production was 169,000 vehicles, down 17.0% year-on-year. In addition, Nissan's competitiveness in the field of new energy vehicles is insufficient. Its only pure electric model on sale, ARIYA, had cumulative sales of only 1,072 vehicles in the first fiscal quarter.
