Honda Motor cooperates with Buhler to introduce giant die-casting machine

As part of this strategic layout, Honda is installing multiple Buhler Carat 610 giant die casting machines (i.e. 6100T super large die casting machine-note of this magazine) to cast the housing of its intelligent power unit (IPU). The IPU housing will house the electric vehicle battery module and serve as the main frame structure of the floor of Honda and its Acura brand electric vehicles. These housings will be manufactured at the Anna engine plant and then shipped to the electric vehicle center in Marysville for installation of battery modules.
