NXP Semiconductors acquires AI chip startup Kinara for $307 million

NXP Semiconductors announced that it would acquire Kinara, an American AI chip startup, for $307 million in cash. Kinara was spun out of Stanford University in 2014 and focuses on developing low-power neural network processors that can run a variety of AI models at the end of the network.
