BASF suspends multiple projects and reduces future planned production capacity

Recently, BASF announced the suspension of several projects. These include plans to build a battery recycling station in Tarragona, Spain, and production in the Knapsack region and Frankfurt production bases in Germany, and plans to close these two production bases. In addition, BASF has also abandoned plans to invest in lithium mining assets in Chile and withdrawn from preliminary negotiations with Wealth Minerals. At the same time, BASF has also stopped plans to build nickel-cobalt production facilities in cooperation with French mining group Eramet.
