BorgWarner recently announced that it has signed four new motor project orders with three major local OEMs in China. These projects cover the fields of hybrid and pure electric vehicles to meet the needs of different new energy vehicle models and voltage platforms. One of the key projects is to provide China's leading new energy vehicle supplier with 400V high-voltage hairpin motors (HVH) for its 200kW hybrid rear-wheel drive platform, which is scheduled to start mass production in August 2025. In addition, BorgWarner will supply motors to another mainstream local Chinese OEM for its 150kW pure electric platform, which is scheduled to start mass production in March 2026. At the same time, the company also provided the next-generation electric vehicle motors to another major Chinese OEM, including extended-range and plug-in hybrid models, which are expected to start production in August and October 2025, respectively.
