Application of GaN Technology in Electric Vehicles

VisIC, a manufacturer of GaN devices for electric vehicles, recently announced that it has reached a cooperation with Heraeus, a global manufacturer of device assembly and packaging materials for the electronics industry, and PINK, a sintering equipment manufacturer, to develop an advanced power module using D3GaN technology. This groundbreaking power module is based on advanced technologies such as silicon nitride ceramic substrates and innovative silver sintering processes, providing battery electric vehicles (BEVs) with higher reliability and better performance, and is expected to accelerate the application of silicon-based GaN technology in electric vehicles.
