Tata Group may abandon acquisition of Vivo's Indian business

As Apple expressed dissatisfaction with Tata Group's plan to acquire vivo's Indian business, the acquisition may eventually fall through. Previously, Tata Group took over the Indian business of Wistron, an important iPhone supplier, in 2023, and completed negotiations with Taiwan's Pegatron factory in 2024 to acquire its iPhone assembly business in India, further deepening its iPhone manufacturing business.
