The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology strengthens supervision and management of OTA upgrade activities

On August 1, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology publicly solicited opinions on the "Notice on Further Strengthening the Management of Access, Recall and Online Software Upgrade of Intelligent Connected Vehicles" (Draft for Comments). The draft opinion proposes that before companies implement OTA upgrade activities, they must ensure that their automotive products comply with relevant laws and regulations, technical standards and technical specifications, and file them with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with relevant requirements.
