US AI chipmaker Groq receives $1.5 billion investment in Saudi Arabia

Groq, an American AI chipmaker, has successfully raised $1.5 billion in funding from Saudi Arabia to expand its AI infrastructure in the kingdom. The funds are expected to be used to increase the production of LPUs, and may also be used to iterate the design to more advanced manufacturing process nodes, as well as to develop more diverse AI processors.
