Hyundai Mobis plans to spin off battery business

Due to the slowdown in global electrification, Hyundai Mobis has decided to kick the battery business out of the electrification business segment from January 2025. If the battery business continues to lose money, Hyundai Mobis may consider selling its battery factory to its partners SK Group or LG Chem, or selling it to global competitors.
