India plans to launch its first domestically produced semiconductor chip by 2025

Ashwini Vaishnaw, India's Minister of Railways, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology, revealed during the World Economic Forum in Davos that the country's first domestically produced semiconductor chip will debut in 2025. The chip will use a 28nm process, and although the world's most advanced chipmakers are currently working on a 2nm process, 28nm chips have been widely used in various industries, including automobiles, consumer electronics, and the Internet of Things.
