Nissan and Renault team up to launch affordable small electric car

Nissan Motor Co. announced in October 2024 that it plans to launch a small, affordable electric car in cooperation with Renault in 2026. The model will be priced below 20,000 euros and its design is inspired by Renault's Twingo model. Starting in 2026, both Renault Twingo and Nissan's new models will use lithium iron phosphate batteries.
