Powin Company Profile

Powin was founded in 2010 through the acquisition of ESS patent portfolio. In 2016, Powin completed an upward merger and became a public company registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Powin focuses on the design, manufacture and operation of commercial and utility-scale lithium-ion energy storage systems. Its core product is a lithium-ion energy storage system (0-4 hours) that uses Powin's independently developed and patented battery pack operating system. Powin's performance is highly dependent on low-cost LFP batteries from Chinese suppliers.
