With the arrival of the third-generation CAN communication technology, CAN XL, we expect it to lead the development of in-vehicle networks again after classic CAN and CAN FD. CAN XL was launched in 2020, providing a maximum data field of 2048 bytes and even capable of transmitting complete Ethernet frames.
