Renesas Electronics' Power Products Division (PWR) has become one of the company's four main product divisions, dedicated to solving energy demand challenges. The division expands its wide bandgap product portfolio by integrating internal R&D and acquiring technologies from other companies, such as Gallium Nitride (GaN) transistor expert Transphorm. The goal is to achieve sales of $7 billion by 2030, focusing on areas such as AI infrastructure, electric vehicles (EVs), and energy efficiency.
