Guangzhou issues regulations on low-altitude economic development to promote the development of low-altitude economy and intelligent connected vehicle industries

The Guangzhou Municipal Government recently issued the "Guangzhou Low-altitude Economic Development Regulations", which will come into effect on February 28, 2025. The key issues of this regulation include airspace, infrastructure, flight services, industrial development and application scenarios. In terms of infrastructure construction, a municipal-level low-altitude flight comprehensive management service platform will be established. In terms of industrial development, it will support the construction of low-altitude economic characteristic parks, cultivate leading enterprises, and strengthen the research and development of key technologies such as flight control and communication navigation. In terms of application scenarios, it will explore the opening of inter-city and cross-border low-altitude routes, and support Nansha District to conduct pilot projects on sea, land and air unmanned systems.
