SMIC releases second quarter 2024 financial report, with sales revenue reaching US$1.9 billion

On the evening of August 8, 2024, SMIC, the leading wafer foundry in mainland China, released its financial report for the second quarter of 2024. The report shows that SMIC's sales revenue for the quarter reached US$1.9013 billion, an increase of 8.6% month-on-month and 21.8% year-on-year. In addition, the company's gross profit margin was 13.9%. In terms of application classification, SMIC's revenue mainly comes from smartphones (32%), computers and tablets (13.3%), consumer electronics (35.6%), Internet and wearables (11%), and industry and automobiles (8.1%).
