Orange and Weidu Technology reach strategic cooperation

Orange, the third largest telecom operator in Europe, has reached a strategic cooperation with Weidu Technology, a domestic supplier of new energy intelligent driving heavy trucks, to jointly develop 5G-based vehicle networking V2X technology to achieve all-weather real-time monitoring, remote diagnosis, predictive maintenance, remote rescue and other functions of vehicles. At the same time, Orange is building a 5G highway connecting Metz, France and Saarbrücken, Germany, to support high-speed unmanned driving and intelligent vehicle networking.
