The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is expanding and upgrading its investigation into approximately 295,125 Honda U.S. vehicles that have been involved in crashes and injury reports due to their automatic emergency braking systems. The affected vehicles include Honda Insight hybrid models and Honda Passport SUVs from the 2019 to 2022 model years. NHTSA said it will upgrade its investigation of Honda vehicles to an engineering analysis starting in March 2024 and expand the scope of the investigation to the 2023 Honda Passport model.
