HTC sells part of its business to Google again, focusing on XR field

HTC announced on January 23, 2025 that it would sell part of its XR business to Google for $250 million. According to the agreement between the two parties, some members of HTC's XR R&D team will join Google, and HTC's XR intellectual property rights will be licensed to Google for use in a non-exclusive manner.
