Continental further cuts jobs at Wetzlar plant, impact far exceeds expectations

Continental plans to cut another 200 jobs at its Wetzlar plant, bringing the number of people affected to 360, far exceeding the initial estimate. A spokesperson for the group confirmed the news and said that only about 40 apprentices and 30 employees have the opportunity to continue to stay. The layoffs are mainly due to the cancellation of the planned Frankfurt High-Performance Computer Technology Center project.
