Texas Instruments' main products in the automotive industry are still power chip portfolios, such as BMS, DC/DC switching regulators, LDOs, and voltage monitors, covering different fields including powertrain, infotainment, ADAS, etc. In the system SoC for ADAS and infotainment, the Jacinto™ automotive processor is one of the trump cards in TI's automotive product line. Unlike the Jacinto™ 6 focus on a more dazzling UI, more display control, etc., the newly released Jacinto™ 7 is more about security, functional safety, system stability, etc., mainly for ADAS and in-vehicle gateway applications. The first two automotive-grade chips released in the platform series are the TDA4VM processor for ADAS and the DRA829V processor for gateway systems.
