Toyota Alphard's development history in China

The first generation of Alphard uses the development platform of the second generation of Previa, providing two drive forms: front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. In terms of power, it provides three power options: 2.4L inline four-cylinder, 3.5L V6 and 2.4L hybrid. The second generation of Alphard was launched in 2008, with a more modern design in both appearance and interior. In 2010, GAC Toyota introduced Alphard to China for sale and named it "Alphard" in Chinese. In 2015, the third generation of Alphard and Vellfire were launched. The overall design is more exaggerated, and more appearance styles are provided for consumers to choose. In 2019, FAW Toyota introduced Vellfire to the domestic market for sale and named it "Vellfire". In 2021, Vellfire was incorporated into the Crown brand. It adopted the exclusive Crown logo and was renamed "Crown Vellfire", becoming a member of the Crown brand.
