Skoda plans to build new factory in Vietnam

Czech automaker Skoda announced that it expects to build a new $500 million automobile factory in the Viet Hung Industrial Park in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam in the first quarter of 2025. This is a joint project between Skoda and Hyundai Motor dealer Thanh Cong, and it is also Skoda's first automobile manufacturing plant in Southeast Asia. The first two CKD (completely knocked down) models, Kushaq and Slavia, will be launched on the market in 2025.
