CATL launches M3P battery for Chery and Huawei cooperation models

CATL announced that its developed M3P battery has been successfully applied to the cooperative models of Chery and Huawei. This battery is based on material innovation of lithium manganese iron phosphate and belongs to the ternary material battery of phosphate system. M3P battery has higher energy density, reaching 210Wh/Kg, which is 20% higher than lithium iron phosphate battery and close to the level of medium nickel ternary lithium battery. In addition, the manufacturing cost of M3P battery is similar to that of lithium iron phosphate, and it inherits the high safety and long life characteristics of lithium iron phosphate battery.
